Each of us believe in several things. Probably you believe in God, maybe you think that the world is everlasting, possibly you believe that the sun will shine tomorrow morning.
You most certainly have ideas concerning yourself: You might believe that you are a brilliant artiste or a good golfer or a adorable person. But you most certainly even have negative beliefs concerning yourself: You might believe that you are very fat or that you do not have adequate education to earn a large amount of money or that you are not good-looking enough to find a lover. These are your Limiting Beliefs!
And we all have them! Without exception! You simply have to "listen" to your self talk going on in your mind! Is it always positive? I bet it is not. There will often be statements such as "This won't work", "I am too stupid" or "If only I were smarter".
How do Limiting Beliefs direct to Self Sabotage?
Think about it! If you truly believe that you are not beautiful enough to get a lover, you will most probably stop looking for one. If you actually consider that you are not skilled enough to get a good job, you will most likely discontinue applying for the job you would desire. This is the first step of Self Sabotage.
It might also go further: Let's presuppose you consider that you are not educated enough to find the job of your dreams. And for some reason (possibly your father, some friend or "fate" opened the opportunity for you) you DO get this job. If your Limiting Belief (not being educated enough) is strong enough, you will unconsciously be forced into actions that lead to your losing this job after some time. Possibly you will make stupid mistakes (mistakes that are untypical of you), possibly you will unconsciously rouse situations that escort to your being late at work almost every morning, who knows!
Limiting Beliefs lead to Self Sabotage! That is a truth! This is not a quality defect, it is only the way it is! And you can only do one thing concerning it:
